The Golf Association of Ontario (GAO) and Flagstick Golf Magazine are pleased to announce the official launch of the Callaway Golf for Kids junior golf program in the Ottawa region. This initiative will see the game of golf introduced to children in the Ottawa Catholic School Board and Ottawa-Carleton District School Board over the next several years. UXBRIDGE, ON – Ian Murray of Oakville, Ontario has been named 2012 President of the Golf Association of Ontario (GAO). Murray, a member at Trafalgar Golf and Country Club, officially assumed the Presidential role at the GAO’s Annual General Meeting on January 28, 2012.

U17 Team Ontario attended a 5 day training camp at the Rio Del Mar Hotel and Golf Resort in Puerto Rico. The five-day camp was held jointly with Team Alberta as well as members of the Puerto Rico Junior Team. The camp included three days of training followed by two days of competition between the three teams. The first day of the competition was a singles match play while the second day consisted of a stableford points format.
