Volunteer Recognition
Each year over 700 volunteers support the association at all levels across the province. The Golf Association of Ontario has an ongoing program that recognizes the contributions made by the volunteers.
The GAO’s recognition policy acknowledges volunteer commitment through a variety of initiatives such as expense and training allowances; volunteer clothing subsidies, special recognition awards and pins.
The Provincial Volunteer of the Year and District Volunteer of the Year awards are one way that we recognize those that have gone above and beyond in “Making Golf in Ontario Better”.
