Ontario-Quebec Matches

The Golf Association of Ontario and the Quebec Golf Association are resurrecting the Ontario/Quebec Matches for the 2009 season. This historic event will consist of 24 junior golfers (12 boys and 12 girls from each province) who are selected based on their performance in their Provincial Junior Boys/Girls Championships. The breakdown of the age of the team members for Team Ontario for this event will be as follows:

4 Juvenile Boys – under 17 years of age
4 Juvenile Girls – under 17 years of age
(Selection based on finish at 2010 Ontario Junior/Juvenile Championship)

2 Bantam Boys - 13 years of age and younger
2 Bantam Girls – 13 years of age and younger
(Selection based on finish at 2010 Ontario Bantam Championship)

The format will see the two teams of 12 playing 36-holes in a two day match play format. The format for the 2010 Ontario/Quebec Matches will be:

Day 1 in PM: Practice Round
Day 2 in PM: 18 hole Four-Ball Matches
Day 3 in AM: 18 hole Singles Matches
