Can-Am Matches

This is an annual two day match play team junior boys event for Ontario vs. South Carolina. The tournament is hosted annually by the South Carolina Junior Golf Federation in March in the Myrtle Beach area. Each team consists of eight junior boy golfers. Team Ontario is comprised of the Top 8 players from the previous years GAO Rankings, provided that they are still eligible as junior golfers in the current year. These matches have been contested since 1999 and Ontario holds a record of 2 wins and 8 losses. As part of their sport development program the GAO sends two of our GAO provincial coaches with Team Ontario and they are sent down early for a four day development camp prior to the start of the Can-Am Matches.
