CN Future Links Mobile Van Program - Spring/Summer 2009
For the 2009 golf season the GAO will have two CN Future Links Mobile Vans visiting schools, camps, festivals and golf courses throughout the Province.
The original mobile van provides programming for kids age 10-16, these clinics focus on the fundamentals of the game with FUN being a major component. During each clinic, participants will take part in an introductory lesson covering things like grip, motions of the swing, and ball position. Using junior golf clubs and Birdieballs the children then have an opportunity to hit in a range like setting, while getting individual instruction and tips by the professional. Various games and contests are then set up to motivate the children and increase the level of excitement.
The addition of a second mobile van in 2009 allows us to reach a younger demographic, a mini pitch and putt course is created outdoors and kids age 5-9 get a unique opportunity to experience golf using oversized plastic clubs and tennis balls that make this introduction fun, safe and memorable.
