Moser Captures Ontario Junior Tournament of Champions
May 24, 2004: Ben Moser of Waterloo, Ontario fired a three-under par 69 to complete an impressive seven-under par victory with a three-round total of 209 in the Ontario Junior Tournament of Champions, sponsored by Investors Group, held at Wooden Sticks Golf Club in Uxbridge, Ontario.
In the rain-shortened Junior Girls Division, Christina Yoon of Etobicoke secured a narrow one-shot win over Ashley Sholer of Barrie with a 45-hole total of 199. Impending darkness forced Golf Association of Ontario officials to reduce the final round of the girls' division to a nine-hole competition.

Brad Larente of Cambridge, Ontario was the Juvenile Division Champion with a 54-hole total of 9-over par 225.
After an opening round 68, Moser never came close to relinquishing the lead and an impending first provincial championship was never in doubt. The Elmira Golf Club member captured the title in Tiger-esque fashion, by a whopping 12 strokes.
Last year, the St. David's Catholic Secondary School student burst on the provincial golf scene with a runner-up performance in the gruelling Ontario Junior Match Play Championship. In his 36-hole tilt with Joshua Dean, Moser was able to prove to himself that he belonged at this level of competitive golf. However, the 18-year-old, also excels in hockey and is highly regarded in both sports by U.S. college recruiters.
